Depends on where that rating came from. The industry uses a rating system that many manufactures will reference. If you are talking about a PEI rating (traffic) of Light, which is a PEI 2, then a residential bath floor is fine. Would help to see the specifications for your selection. There are other considerations such as use in wet area that should be specified by the manufacturer as well.

Class 2 Light Residential Use. Must not be used in residential areas that are subject to constant or heavy traffic. (i.e., kitchen). Tile is made of recycled glass, is about 3/8” thick.

Is the mounting mesh acceptable in a wet area is just one of those details Dragonfly is referring to. These details are almost always overlooked. Another would be the specified bonding method. I often hear "I used glass specific thinset mortar" Unfortunately some glass requires mastic. Use the wrong one and this could happen.

Now if mastic is required you can no longer install it in a wet area.

Can the glass withstand thermal shock? Glass the temperature of a air-conditioned room being hit with hot water could have some negative results.

Similar to installing glass tile on a kitchen backsplash with a cook top. (especially gas) then boiling a pot of water on the back burner resulting in cracked glass tiles. Why? Glass tile can not be installed near a direct heat source. Yet you see it recommended by designers and sales staff constantly.

There are other important considerations not mentioned. Be sure to hire a professional and hope the manufacturer will provide you with the answers needed.

Recycled glass is completely different. Although I would still verify application with the manufacturer.
