I want to have my hood inside cabinets as I don't want the large stainless steel visual presence.

My venting needs are pretty minimal as I have an induction cooktop (30") and don't do frying or cooking that exudes large amounts of grease. My current hood is (or more technically was) completely ineffective except as a noise maker and I never used it and had no particular venting issues.

Theoretically there is a vent to the exterior as there is a hole in my kitchen wall which leads to the building's common wall space - where that vents I neither know nor care :-)

Any recommendations as I need to make a decision as quickly as possible so the exterior can be built - it's fitting into a 30" space which is fine for my minimal venting needs.
