Depends on the room /home. The round one is more feminine than the rectangle.

Craftsman-style house, built in 1938. Completely updated but a lot of antique furniture/marble. I'm going for a classic/elegant look.

I'd go with the rectangle then.

Rectangle. Simpler lines for a Craftsman house.

For a Craftsman house, I'd go rectangle. They're both nice, but they don't seem interchangeable in a given house or space. That is, the house should be telling you which one is "right."
