they say that woods should be within one or 2 shades otherwise 6+ shades apart. on the whole, fi you are talking about furnishings, you should not be worrying about your floors, since you can not change them every time they should not be a part of your interior design.

I suggest you look through some magazines and mark anything that you like the feel and or look.

What colors do you love? The wood is neutral, think of it as a blank canvas.

Find a starting point, which I suggest might be your choice of couch. The one you fall in love with might give you something to work on in terms of both style and colours for the rest of the room. Looking at the space I'm thinking modern, perhaps a bit industrial -- but if you have one big-ticket item fixed you will have a better idea of where you are going.

Check Houzz for some ideas, you do not have anything in your ideabooks.

I guess I’m just conflicted because I feel like I already have a lot of cherry wood going on and I’m not sure what to do about the kitchen table because I don’t want to add to it. Also my black counter tops throw me off.

I plan on painting once I lock down my couch, which will be of the neutral variety. I live in Hawaii, so id like to do natural-ish theme with greens and such - if that makes any sense?

I’ve seen a couple rugs that I like, but then my question is how do you mix and match rugs because it’s an open floor plan and I’ll be needing one for the living area also.

I’m slowly adding things to my board that I like.

i saw a clip the other day they had tropical glam, white, a couple greens, silver.

for more formal area?
