I have not been able to find one of these locally so that I can check this out myself, but I read a review on the GE website that says the knob bases (not the actual knobs themselves, but the rings that go around their bases) are made out of plastic. Can anyone verify this? I saw a new Cafe series gas range, and the knobs and bases were definitely both metal. It would be disappointing if the induction range had plastic instead of metal.

Thanks!
