I hate to rain on your happiness, BKay, LOL, but I’m having a devil of a time trying to get my blocks to lay flat. I was almost ready to plead “bring back the triangles!”

Have my fabric ready for this block, might even be able to cut out pieces tomorrow!

I sent mine in April. Here they are:

I have my fabric chosen, but have not cut yet. I'm going to cut it on the lengthwise grain and hope that works. I have emerald green, turquoise, maroon and purple. I may buy some white on white to perk it up. We'll see how many survive.

    Nice blocks, crrand1.

Val - please omit my name from the May drawing.

Ok I think I talked myself into trying this one haha :)

DH has been ill, so I'm late on getting my blocks done. I'll get them done and send to the winner.

Sorry. I'll do better in June.

And we have a winner....Carol in Pahrump NV. Congratulations Carol!

A very cool block, if you use only those sent in, (not make any more) this would be an awesome baby quilt!!! IMHO.... Have fun with your blocks!

Ladies....please Write your name in the 1/4" seam on the back of the each quilt block you submit. It's a big help on my end!! Thanks all!

    Congratulations, Carol!

What a fun quilt that will be. Congrats, Carol.

ConGratz, Carol! These blocks will make a great quilt!

I really liked this block and thought it would make a nice baby quilt, too. Congrats, Carol.

    Stop! (I’m so sorry.)

Cease and desist! (I’m so sorry.)

    Freeze! (I’m so sorry.)

Hold the Presses! (I’m so sorry.)

I’m late getting my three blocks mailed! (I’m so sorry.)

They are finished. I will photograph and mail them in the morning.

Please forgive me. I will mail the June blocks on time. These blocks kicked my backside!

Should I mail them straight to CarolNV?

Mine are bright yellow, grape purple, and an almost-acid green.

Congrats! The blocks look great together,

    Sue

Caroline, you can mail directly to Carol or to me, whatever is easiest for you, but please post a pic so we can all see you blocks! Let me know what you decide in regards to mailing.

    Thanks, Valarie

WOW! Really?! I won, yippee! Yes, the blocks will make a great baby quilt. Thanks everyone!

Hi Carol, Your blocks were mailed today. Not sure what Caroline will be doing, but if her May blocks come my way, I'll pop them in the mail to you. Enjoy!

I'm horribly late, but committed to making the squares each month. I'm sorry for the delay. I am starting earlier on the June blocks, as June will probably be a crazy as May.

I was going to quietly sent the blocks to CarolNV, but it didn't work. She has not enabled private messaging. So, Carol, can you PM me with your address, please?

This is going to be a really pretty quilt. The squares were a bear to make, but I finally got some good ones after tossing the first two rounds and starting over. At that point, I remembered making the log cabin squares last year and started squaring after each round.

Thanks again Carolyn and Val for providing this learning experience.
