With all those angles, I would paint the whole thing white or off white, then bring in teal in the bedding and accessories.

I suggest you start an ideabook for this room alone and let your daughter go through the bedrooms on Houzz and choose her favorites. Plan the room with her, not for her. It will be a great bonding experience and learning experience, too.

Our house is actually pretty traditional but we have a few rooms that have this 1990s contemporary look to them. Not sure she'll go for pink, but I like the idea. Thanks!
