Looks like a veneer graft that failed below followed with a splicegraft. I would cleaned it up with a very sharp knife.

If it's growing it's probably ok. Just clean it up a bit if you need to.

Leave it alone to do its job of fussion.

I have heard of them before but only regarding selling bulbs. Interesting that they do citrus.

I have the variegated pink lemon from them. I got two last year. Were these the ones in the yellow buckets? They did quite well after two months of no growth initially. They roughly doubled in size since when I got them in late july despite being in dry indoor conditions for much of that. When I re-potted them I recall they did not look grafted though but I am probably not remembering correctly.

Is this home depot? Are they back in stock already? Any other varieties?

They had meyer lemons in the yellow pots, the varigated pink lemons were in pink pots. Yeah its home depot. I saw meyer, variegated pink lemons, figs,guava,limes, and mandarins i think. I didnt pay too much attention to the rest of what they had so i may have missed a couple lol
