Beautiful tree! Based on what I read and my own experience, Jordan seems to grow faster than a couple of other Shirasawanum such as 'Aureum' and 'Autumn Moon'. it also depends upon your zone and other factors. For mine, in very cold zone 5a/b, planted in ground in a mostly sun location, without any fertilizer, it grows ~ 9-12" per year for the first couple of years since I have them. Also younger trees grow faster. Japanese maples in our zone grow slowly due to our short grow season.

im In the uk. I have all my acers in light shade with the exception of 2-3 hours of morning sun. I moved them there from full sun where they weren’t happy. Now they look so good! :) x

I'm in zone 8a in northeast Ga & I get 12+ inches of growth a year from mine. I do not fertilize at all but keep it mulched with a double ground hardwood bark.

Looking at your leaves thats an Aureum Acer not a Jordan so will grow very slowly, maybe 10cm a year.
