Help with powder room finishing touches!

Help needed selecting finishes for our powder room!

Marble tile accent wall is complete (hard to see in photos- it is a marble chevron tile). Remaining walls are painted hale navy. Hardwood floors are going in.

Should we go with polished nickel finishes as in picture 1? Disregard that cardboard against the wall!

Or gold finishes to add some contrast? Pictures 2 and 3 show different light/mirror combo's I'm looking at.

Which one is your favorite? Or feel free to suggest other options!

I think the gold will add some warmth to the room. Plus it pops really nicely against the navy. I'd also keep the mirror shape fairly simple so that it doesn't compete with the pattern on the accent wall.

I agree with Sina. The gold really brings out the design details of the room and adds additional warmth along with your floors. The room will be beautiful once completed!! A simple square mirror with a decorative gold frame that is about an inch and a half thick will look nice.

it really is whatever you prefer but I like the nickel and really dislike gold in general. I know its coming back in but I hate it. just reminds me of old lady sixties, seventies things I couldn't change fast enough. chrome, silver is timeless found in 100 year old homes and current. fixtures do tend to date things if you follow a trend. all the door knobs and light fixtures in the house we just bought are gold and I'm thinking of painting them interem to changing them all out. (time and money). go with what you love and you will love the room.

Thanks for the comments so far! I think we are leaning towards gold. Here are a couple other options of lights I'm looking at, with a simpler mirror as some suggested. Any suggestions on which light would look best? Clear glass shade, white shade, gold shade? Or keep the utopia light as shown in the other pictures above? Or another bath bar/sconce? So many options!

Matte gold is really pretty. Shiny gold is yuck.

Are we talking "gold" or "polished brass" ? Not the same thing at all but many of the young use the term interchangeably. I used polished brass in a guest room bath as it has and antique footed tub and antique footed basin out of an old local hotel. It looks right. In master bath, I used polished nickel- again it just looks right in this 1948 house, First for full bath has polished chrome as that was what was in the tub and I was not gutting the entire bath - just new toilet, basin with legs and wallpaper.

I’m thinking brushed brass or matte gold. Not shiny.

jane, look in a champagne gold too. it's very subtle.

I like the gold, the lights w/the clear glass and the gold trim mirror.

instead of that white pedestal, what about the sinks like this?

Thanks Beth. Good call. I've seen some pretty champagne golds as well. Love all of these reference images and I did consider something other than the pedestal. However, I didn't like the marble sinks against the marble wall, and couldn't find another store bought sink/vanity option. Kind of ran out of steam towards the end of our home remodel so took the simple route with the pedestal. It hasn't been installed yet, so I guess I could still switch it out last minute.... hmm now you have me thinking.

Love your wall. I like the soft gold hardware. I don't care for the pedestal. I feel like it makes your space dated even though pedestals are classic. Hope that made sense. Can you do sconces instead of an over mirror light? I like the mirror in picture 3. Not overly crazy about any of your lighting.

Thanks @pink_peony. Unfortunately the electrical is already completed, so I have to go with overhead lighting. If I was doing this all over again, I would certainly have done sconces on either side. You live, you learn! If anyone sees any good lighting/vanity options that will work, send them my way! Open to suggestions!

Update... the floors are in! Here are the final three options. Last two are the same light, but with a frameless mirror (2nd pic) and a silver leaf finish mirror (pic 3) to add some warmth. Need to place my order tomorrow for the fixtures. Help!

I like #1 w/the gold. the others just seem too blah.

but not sure about that one light in #1. keep looking,,I think there are better choices.

do you like something like this? (it comes in double)

here's your gold mirrors w/ similar lights you have, but in black. they come in gold too

here's that mirror you have (or very similar, w/the rivets)

    some other, sleeker choices

but I do like the gold option. is anything going over your toilet? what do you think about the trio of pics like they have here?

Definitely the gold. I think your mock ups may be affecting the way the items you’re choosing actually look. Maybe post that mirror and light in number 1 alone. Very hard to see what they look like. For me anyway.
