So I'm gonna go out on a limb here. Judging by the 'beefiness' of the shoots I'd say 'Empress Wu' is a good candidate, did you 'misplace' one?

so reading your history im thinking 30 or 40 years old... yes??? .. if so.. its not Wu ...

imo .... though we REALLY enjoy the guessing game.. unless its one of the old well known standards ... we may never really know the name ... but since you probably arent going to be selling it under whatever name.. it doesnt really matter ...

Even as is, can you measure one of the bigger leaves? We can count the veins...

So here it is with no sun and a pen for reference. It definitely is around 15 years vs 30 or 40 - the years are adding up for sure but I wasn’t gardening when I was 8 :)

Please provide an actual measurement when you can. Length and width of a full leaf. Inches, centimeters, cubits...

Currently 20 inches tall, leaves 12 inches in length and 10 in width. Thank you for all your help and guesses, everyone!

If it has really tall flower scapes (to 6') it could be Elatior. Would certainly have been in the trade 15 years go. The pre-Wu Empress Wu. Vein count is a little low, but the full count could come with maturity.

I haven’t been able to post a picture since the changes went through. I’m hoping this works cause I have a flower and I think it will be helpful in identifying this hosta. Fingers crossed!!

How white are the undersides of the leaves? I planted Lakeside Surf Runner (1997 introduction) last year and it looks a lot like it.

I bought a elegans this spring and the leafs on mine are rounder than on yours, but my plant is a baby. Wonder if yours is considered a grown plant even though it has been split often?
