Can anyone tell me.....

Who make this cabinet?

What is the countertop material?

What is the name of the countertop edge?

And also, would you use a textured glass for a simple shower and if you would, what texture would you like?

Thank you

Well it sure is beautiful. But, I'm my own maid and I value minimizing upkeep, so appreciate the point on cleaning the cabinet, and I'll never do marble for the same reason. Appreciate you educating me a little more on a couple of things:

    • -I'm planning a plain white swanstone base and 3 wall alcove shower surround with crown moulding at the ceiling (urethane or pvc) and nice trim around the shower wall edges so you don't see the edges of the wall panel and it's finished off nicely. I am also planning to install a hollspa floating shower bench. The bench surface can be made of the same material as the countertop. I'd like my bathroom to be warmer colors....maybe a beautiful medium wood tone cabinet.....what brand/colors of quartz or solid surface colors would you recommend for counter and bench?

    • -Because this is not a fancy tile shower, I was contemplating a frosted or textured frameless shower door. The texture/frost glass is on the outside of the shower, not the inside. Is that still a maintenance challenge.

    • -I love that double stacked ogee. Is chipping a problem with quartz and solid surface? Do you recommend a different decorative edge that's less of a problem?

    • Many thanks again for your expert advise.

Look at the bathroom vanities on Houzz and notice that many of them are uber simple and cleaned lined..you can get the jutted out look with the vanity and still keep it simple.

Kitchens and bathrooms work a lot better if they're simple with clean lines. They are far easier to KEEP clean, and less busy. Remember - both these rooms have a LOT of different things going on in them, unlike other rooms in ones house.

The shower door I got is called "waterfall." You don't have to squeegee every time you take a shower.

Frosted/textured doors are just as easy to keep clean as clear. The difference is that if you miss a spot, they don't show it. I am a fan!

While I'd skip the super-detailed cabinet doors in a bathroom (or just about anywhere), I know you can keep an ogee counter edge in fine shape. If you want a kind of frilly bathroom, a detail like that can have a big impact. That edge is not as prone to chipping as the sharper edge Susan posted, and what the heck are you tossing around your bathroom anyway that chipping is even a consideration? :)

That is a very pretty vanity. I wonder if it could be maintained with a stiff paintbrush.

Take a look at photos of the dupont edge profile. It's similar to the one in the photo and simpler than the ogee.

I've seen some pretty shower glass that's part clear and part frosted in Houzz photos.

Consider U-Tile from Maax for shower walls or tub walls.

My white corian countertop has the fancy edging and it must be cleaned daily or after every meal b/c toast dust, spices, grease, etc accumulates. Next time for sure I will have a plain edge. Love corian, Hate edging, ha

If you cannot find the exact one you want, do consider the Corian

bossyvossy mentioned. My brother had Corian installed in his kitchen and likes it --

    even several years later.
