Yes! If the branches are green, it can come back!

In all probability it will. When it does that will be en masse. You can do no more than have it in dappled shade, protected from the wind and watered very sparsely.

Thanks - we figured that was the case (although we have it in full sun....we'll move it today). This is a stupid question, but will the leaves come from the existing new-growth branches, or will new ones grow? We're wondering if we're going to have to cut out a lot of non-leafed dead wood later on.

I would put it outside and leave it there day and night. The warm days and cool nights will tell it that it's spring time and time to flush out new growth and possibly new blooms. Don't cut anything until early summer. Then you will know what to trim.

New shoots will come first from the thinest semihard branches still alive. Don't trim anything yet.

Just give it time, it might take the entire season to look presentable again but it'll bounce back. Much less water when it's in that state. Just to clear up for anyone and everyone. When it says cold hardy to 30F or whatever the temp is, that means planted in ground- Root hardiness after being established. I hope your summer weather is good to you guys!!
