I bought 2 Graffiti from a seller who actually told me later they were self seedlings. They bloomed just green, but they too have massive root systems. They did not reboot this year but the roots are everywhere! I also bought a Graffiti this year that turned out to be maybe Jade Serpent or Green Dragon.

I have long wanted to try Graffiti x papilio and Viridi Rascal x papilio.

What pollinations have you in mind?

I don't have any scapes on the the Graffiti bulbs (since they have yet to bloom, they may actually be "not Graffiti", based on your experiences!). One of my Rascal's opened its first bloom today- very nice and likely to get even better as it fully opens. If you're interested in Rascal x papilio, I can see if I can get a cross to take. I'd be happy to share seeds if it results in viable seed (it should). This is the second year of growth for the Rascals, so they should have healthy roots. I'll probably try Rascal x Evergreen too. Sadly, both of my Emerald scapes aborted... one withered and died just as it was emerging and the other got to full height then withered.

So far this season I've tried papilio x Lima, papilio x Evergreen, Evergreen x papilio, Lima x papilio and Lima x Evergreen. Unfortunately, I didn't mark all of my flowers with their respective crosses! The next set of pollinations will probably get marked with pre-made tags from a Brother label maker (those labels are great... waterproof, no fading, easy to read, good adhesive), I think I'll punch a hole in the label and use a twist tie to attach it to the bloom. Bright Spark, Blossom Peacock, Striped Garden and a few others are in bloom. H johnsonii should open this week. I have a petite bloom that may be H. puniceumor a relative of H. puniceum that will bloom soon. Glee, Showmaster, Quito, Spotlight, Rio Negro and a few others should bloom in the upcoming weeks.

Oh, you have done some great pollinations this year. I attempted pollinations on Chico and Santa Rosa with no success this year. Machala is a dream for me and usually accepts a wide variety of pollen. I am especially looking forward to Machala x Fledermaus + Mocca.

I love your ideas. Evergreen x papilio is somehing I would totally try. The same goes for Lima and papilio.

Any thought to Glee x papilio? That could be special!

Glee x papilio would be nice. Maybe adding something that would give a blush of color to Glee? Glee x Evergreen could be nice, especially if Evergreen passed along its flower count.

I like that Evergreen usually helps to elevate and open what it is crossed with. I do like Evergreen crosses. A future goal is to own many of these papilio crosses like Glee, Ambiance, Rio Negro, Moon Scene, and just pollinate amongst them all occasionally adding cybister shapes and aulicumx pap crosses for movement and shape.
