Small full bath reno

We’re renovating our small full bath off of our home office. It has 5’ shower (no tub), 30” gray vanity, and toilet. Total sq. ft. is about 40. Is this combo too much for that small of a bathroom? Is the black too harsh for a batroom of that size? We have a small window above the toilet, lighting above the mirror and a fan light. Large tile would be for flooring, small tile for shower floor and white subway for shower walls. Thank you!!

I don't think it's too much, but it is lacking color IMO. Gold accents maybe? art? warm lighting? I just don't like how I look in too stark a setting.

sandy,,,,although I have a larger bathroom, i remodeled mine using almost the same thing. matte black faucets w/some gold accents would be perfect.

i picked cobalt as my accent. if you click on my name, master bath redo, you can see the rest of the pictures.

I love black and white bathrooms. If it were mine I'd just use the shower floor tile on the rest of the floor too (leaving out the large tile), but what you picked also looks very nice together.

I love that combo. It will look great! Select your grout to match lighter color of each tile.

I like both the floor and the mosaic, but not together in a small bath. Their styles are too different; if you go with the mosaics, you can use them both in shower and on main floor. If you select the patterned floor, then look for a simple 2x2 for the shower in either the gray or black color.

I think it depends on how much pattern you like to see. To me it seems like too much going on on a small bathroom. Both are bathrooms are about the same size as yours. Unfortunately they gather enough clutter that I'm glad there aren't any strong patterns in there as well. I can see the appeal to a floor pattern but I'd recommend limiting it to the floor only.

I think it would look beautiful using the marble mosaic tile on the main floor, as well as the shower floor.
