I would love some help with kitchen layout ideas. We're putting on an addition and the space we will have for the kitchen is approximately 14' x 10', and will open to a small family room and the dining room (it will also be connected to a mudroom). The first picture shows the space and the main "L" for the kitchen (upper right). The main requirement is we want a good size window somewhere along the right side (the star indicates we want a view of that side), preferably a view from the sink. Beyond that, we want to make sure we have enough counter space in the right places, would like to have an island and pantry (even if small pantry cabinet). Cabinet space is not a big concern (no matter what we will have substantially more than we have now). The second picture is our current front-runner
layout. It has windows in the right corner (so standing at the sink there is still a view out to the right). The third picture is another option-- window above sink on lower right of kitchen (upper right corner could have windows or cabinets, and there would be an island). I would love to hear people's thoughts, ideas, things we should consider, etc. Thank you!
