My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

What are the dimensions of this kitchen?

I am currently renovating my kitchen and am wondering if we can do an island like this but I suspect this kitchen is slightly bigger than mine and an island might be too tight in mine. Our current plan is to do a peninsula coming down from the wall across from where the refrigerator is in this picture, between the kitchen and dining room.

    Hi Barbara,

    The island in the above kitchen measures approximately 60" x 36" with 39"-44" of walking space on all sides. The "L-Shaped" perimeter cabinetry is approximately 142" long on the refrigerator wall and 136" on the range wall.

    Determining whether to incorporate an island or a peninsula requires a design discussion with an experienced Kitchen Design firm -- there are many factors that go into that decision such as walkway clearances, appliance restrictions, flow/efficiency of the kitchen, etc.
