Gorgeous!

Gorgeous! Have you ever tried Little White Pet? It is a sport of FeP. It is a more than re-blooming (it blooms almost continuously) miniature, with exactly the same blooms as FeP, but smaller. Bush stays at about 2 ft tall. I have one which is over 20 years old, and it is still going strong. It has been flooded for over 2 weeks during winter storms, (grows right next to the curb/gutter), cut way down and dug up on an emergency basis when we had a water leak (twice), and run over by cars whose drivers don't know how to drive at least 4 times, It bounces back each time - happier than before, and starts blooming again!

I love that hanging bell sculpture thingy placed in the middle - awesome! The roses are just lovely.

It's not a rose one sees grown too often, and yours is absolutely lovely and so perfect where you've placed it.

Correctly 'Felicite-Perpetue', it is the most generally seen Sempervirens rose. The flower clusters are large and abundant, but unfortunately the spent petals hang on afterward. Also it seems to have some black spot susceptibility.

Supposedly 'Venusta Pendula' is rather common on the west coast due to Tillotson's Roses distributing it as this one.

I’ve got this one coming from High Country Roses and will try to grow it up porch columns around a 2nd story balcony (With new dawn).

I‘ve found almost nothing about It on houzz but these pictures make it look like my plan could work.

F et P is a once blooming rambler, and lovely. See my comments above about its almost ever blooming way smaller sport - same blooms, but on a rounded bush which in my warm climate gets as big as 2 1/2 - 3 ft tall in full sun. It blooms here 10 - 11 months of the year, and is almost indestructable. For those with smaller gardens, or who just like any rose which will stay rounded, with lovely blooms, and bloom constantly, with no spraying, (at least in warmer climates). Here is a pic of mine which is right next to the street curb and gutter, when it is just starting to bloom:

Forgot to mention - the sport of F et P above is called 'White Pet', or 'Little White Pet', and is classed as a polyantha discovered in 1879. HMF says hardy to 6b and warmer.

A side note: roses can handle flooding, in my experience, unlike long periods of stagnant water. Once-bloomers that go dormant in winter can handle a LOT of flooding....I'm currently testing the limits of their resistance.

I have FeP: it's a very thorny plant, very pretty, with nice foliage. I don't prune mine, just letting it cascade down a slope, but suspect it's a substantial annual job to prune and train when grown on a structure.

Melissa, what conditions do you have yours growing in?

Mine will be in part shade until it gets large enough to hit the second story.

I’ll have to prune it regularly once it matures if it’s as vigorous as some reviews say.

Jackie, how is the foliage on your little white pet? I might need a filler and could use this if it keeps some of it here.

I live in Zone 8, with good winter chill, but there are many years that the temperature never drops below 20F. Winters are generally wet and summers are generally dry and hot. The soil is clay, probably neutral or alkaline, and my FeP is in part shade, a situation that most of my roses prefer, as our summer days are long and the sun is fierce. FeP is perched on a piece of ground with the earth falling away on three sides, and never gets watered or fertilized. It's fine with that, healthy and floriferous year after year. It has tip-rooted.
