I think we are all having a slow start. There is very little color here and the peonies that I typically expect to bloom soon are not even close!

Yes, aside from a better-than-usual flowering of the daffs & forsythia (maybe due to all those early spring storms!) that's now mostly over, I have very little else even close to blooming. Hydrangeas are just beginning to green, with few buds to be seen, same for butterfly bush, Montauk daisies, and very small gladiola sprouts. I broke down & bought pansies for a hanging pot because now there's no color except for a few pretty crabapple trees. :(

I can't say it's a slow start for me. The winter jasmine was "on time", the hyacinths were gorgeous, about three weeks ago, and the large Darwin tulips just finished a few days ago. Carolina jasmine "Margarita" is absolutely stunning right now, completely covered in butter-yellow trumpets cascading over the wall, and another climbing a fence. Dogwoods and cherry fully bloomed, and buds on the scotch broom. Poppies have buds, although my iris do seem to be lagging behind. But overall, everything's normal. Actually my pear tree was about two weeks early!

The commercial apple orchard showed photos of the orchard in bloom but it might not have been current photos. My crab apples are probably a week behind. My forsythia didn't bloom well and I have noticed some others that also didn't yet others that were gorgeous. We have some bright yellow cow slips in a seasonal stream but tulips and daffodils have gone by. Azalea is blooming. Mayflower viburnum is getting read to bloom. My lilac is thinking about it. Sorry, I think HD perennials may have been forced to flower too early.

If you could see the pathetic state of my plants, Kali, you would feel better about yours. The only plants that are thriving here are those that love cool weather and dislike strong sun, the newly planted ligularia, persicaria, Scottish bluebells, and trout lilies for instance, along with salad greens on the porch. Daffodils bloomed well and daylilies seem to be coming up on schedule, but that's about it for successes. Kerria and kiwi vines are recovering very slowly from being eaten down to nothing by rabbits, and my plants started from seed are all under one inch tall, many empty pots housing seeds that never germinated at all. The lack of sunlight and relentless cold have left their mark for sure.
