Can you recommend a gray taupe in behr or glidden that will be compatible with Swanky Gray?

Hope one of them works out for you! I have used Perfect Taupe it is a beautiful color..really looks like it may work very well with your floor tile...never know until it is in your space:)

HIWE.... what do you think of the colors? I keep going back and forth between the taupe and green.

I think the taupe goes well with the floor, but does not enhance the gray way tile. I like the green but wondering if there is enough gray tint in the green.

Judy. How about SW Requisite Gray. We have this color in our bedroom and it is really nice. It can look different in different lighting. Very soothing color.

This color looks more gray than these mock ups. Might be worth a try. SW Sea Salt is a green gray if that is your goal.

Flo.... requisite gray is nice but will probably conflict with the MBR SW color of Swanky Gray. The above posting shows all the SW paints throughout our house. I wonder consider Requisite Gray if we repainted our MBR same color as it leads right to the bathroom. I had a SW colorist (several yrs ago) come over to pick colors for our whole house. Swanky Gray in our MBR definitely is a purple gray. Hesitate to ask DH to repaint our MBR Requisite Gray since he just spent 6 months renovating the MB.

Why don’t you bring Swanky Gray into the bath? I am going to mock up a couple ideas for you. Bbl

Wow love the Taupe but that Dusty Miller looks beautiful too.......I really don’t think you would go wrong with one or the other.

Not sure what you are looking for but here are some other ideas.

On my paint deck, Spatial White looks like it would work well with your floor tile and blend nicely with the MB color. Have to try a sample to make sure in your lighting.

Metropolitan is BM 2019 color of the year..very gray green...

Looks like it is just a bit more gray than dusty miller..

My only concern Flo & HIWE, when I use the taupe & any color of gray, the wavy gray accent wall behind the mirror looks blah. The only one that looks good next to the gray tile is the green. If I do any whites, it conflicts with the bright white vanity top. The dark granite did not mesh with the black vanity, too dark. Ugh! Maybe at the paint store, they can add a slight gray tint to the green. Luckily, it is just 2 walls that need paint.

HIWE... that metropolitan color looks great. Unfortunately, we only have SW, as BM moved out of our city. The closest BM is about 1 hour away. SinceI am leaving for Phoenix tomorrow, will not have the opportunity to buy the BM paint. I figured when I am out of town, my DH could paint the MBR. He just mentioned to make the final paint selection before I leave. We do have Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Sherwin Williams close by.... The pictures of the paint color samples on the wall was done tonight. Tomorrow will probably look diff in the daylight.

Metropolitan looks a little lighter & a twinge more gray.

SW Chelsea Gray is considered a match to BM Metropolitian

Judy, I just looked up the colors and found SW Argos might be a closer match based on the values in easyrgb color analysis tool. It doesn't have quite as much chroma either which could make it a bit brighter but in the line you are looking for. If you want a more green, the Argos is 126.8 Hue Angle which moves it more toward the green on the Color Strategist Wheel. Hope that helps a little bit and gets you where you desire. All good colors, just giving you a bit more data.

Will need your expertise in textiles & an abstract picture to tie everything in. I was thinking black & white towels, but not sure if it will be too busy. Hey girls... just returned from SW. picked out 2 colors - Chelsea Gray & Unusual Gray. Like both of them. What do you think? Chelsea is lighter of the two. Chelsea is top left & unusual gray to the right of Chelsea. On pic next to floor tile, Chelsea is 2nd on right, Unusual is last one on right. Decisions, decisions, decisions

I love the Chelsea Gray..very soothing....looks beautiful next to your tile and your vanity..Just my suggestion...would not introduce any black...I would stick with bright white towels to match vanity top...and stick with soft plum accents....beautiful With your color pallette!

Well I should also say if you want dramatic.....the very dark color on the far left floor image would be pretty cool! Is it Behr Dark Granite?

Yes, it is Behr Dk Granite. Did not mesh with black vanity.

Hi Flo, Julie, and Houzzers. Paint color looks good. Different times of the day it looks green and at other times gray. I started to shop for towels as I did not want white. My eye makeup tends to end up on my towels. Shopping for best rated towels has been a feat. Variables include: Egyptian cotton, Turkish towels or bamboo, absorbency, homespun, loops in the towels, wick, how they wash, how they hold up, size, fast drying, etc. etc. etc. Right now, looking for a compatible color or design. Bought some to try out. Also, looking at bathroom accessories. A picture or wall hanging will have to be hung on adjacent mirror wall. Just hung up the flush mount light fixture in toilet room. Pls weigh in on towels and any other suggestions you might have. Bought these chenille rugs, but I think I need longer rug in front of vanity sinks. Put the 2 little ones down, but it did not look right. Need a small rug for beside toilet and shower. Glass frameless swing doors will be installed in 3 weeks. TIA

Looking good. Either way will be pretty. I lean more toward the blue/green tones. The ones near the sinks. Beautiful and I congratulate you on your patience, dedication and style! Well done!!

Towels are sort of my bane in life...I have so many requirements...mainly I want them to be perfect but require no putzing....so ....my favorite features are loops...all cotton ......and lightweight with a textured finish.......loops .....so they hang on hooks....dry easily...and require no folding, centering, etc.........lightweight ......so they wash thoroughly..dry easily.......and textured so they stimulate the skin a little when using....all cotton should be obvious..but mainly for absorbency and a natural feel....as to a color that is the toughest challenge ...I have given up on finding any color I love ....so I dye them for the most interesting and unique colors....

As to the rug a runner is really the only option...and if this is an adult only bath ... a nice wool runner adds a substantial na5ural fiber

And quality feel...we have them in our kitchen ....baths ...and closets ...a perfect addition of quality and interest to these areas...

Ritasj.... is there a certain store that you buy your towels from? I go for softness & quick drying besides size and color. Wiki.ezvid.com lists 10 best towels. (Looks like Utopia is also rated high). The chenille rug felt very soft on my feet and matched the tile. Will have to make another trip to Homegoods to look at runners. Ended up going to Marshall’s & TJ Max’s looking for complete bathroom tumbler ensemble. Hard to find soap dishes nowadays. Most just sell liquid soap dispensers. I should use or look for a taller plant like the shown white flower. Finding all the accents is very time consuming. Read a Houzz discussion on Frontgate towels being a preference. Macy’s sells the Martha Stewart fast drying towels but lacks the softness.

Judy ....believe it or not the towels I have now are from IKEA....I have always liked their sort of European aesthetic,in general....and their dedication to natural fibers broadens the possibilities there in general....with the added plus that their fabrications are more interesting...

What got me hooked was their huge bedsheet.....a regular towel this size would be too bulky and heavy.....but I prefer a little more brisk finish on towels...soft is nice but it usually comes with extra weight and sometimes snags or catches on things...and of course takes forever to dry...in the dryer as well as when hanging on the wall

One other thing...with this new slick ..clean...aesthetic..you may have to re-think your bath accessories...I would look at (also my fave resource) home goods ....for wonderful contemporary vases and little planters...beautiful glassware?...for the countertop storage pieces...even if you just drop your bottles and sprays into them for easy access......if you find a piece or two you love ....perhaps that will offer a color inspiration for your towel colors

Looks good Judy :), went through looking for bathroom accessories last week here also; but finally found what I wanted at Lowes & Canadian Tire , here in BC/Canada>> but it was a PITA- running all over "town" looking >> We live on a small island off another island & have to go to "town" for most items here.

Don’t just look at the color...don’t just choose by style.... look at the storage! A bank of drawers for each of you is very important. I like at least three drawers per person, plus somewhere to store towels and extra soap. Our everyday supplies go in the top two drawers, one shallow and one deeper. The other stuff goes in the third drawer. If you don’t have separate medicine cabinets with mirrors, you need to store toothbrushes, toothpaste, perfume, medication, and things you don’t want to leave out on the counter.

Hi everyone. Bought this runner rug, which is very soft. However, can not get the middle crease out, so will have to take back. Tried folding it in opposite direction, and walking down middle line like a tightrope. Hard to find a runner rug & smaller co-ordinating rugs to match. Anyone recommend any online rug store/company? Found some soap dishes, toothbrush holder, etc @ B, B, & B. Like the quality & looks of it. (Finally)...Googled organizational tips on Bathroom linen closet. You tube had some good suggestions , so ended up buying these storage units @ HG. I need to group all the corresponding items...I liked the white towel with gray piping but thinking darker color for contrast. I know, crazy for overthinking the towel process. I just know that I will end up buying 2 sets of towels!!!

sometimes just using a spray bottle with warm water sprayed on the folds....and let dry.....will work....to smooth out the rug....if needed.... Wayfair is a great resource for rugs...the rug looks cushy and nice....

Ritasj.....Finally done. Will be posting in before/after dilemma also. The service people installed the shower glass doors today. So happy it is over!!! Found some fantastic Turkish towels @ Wayfair. Here are the before pics...
