WoW! Your violets are very wonderfull. I just got Rob's chilly willy from Bloomlovers a week ago, I can't wait to see it blooming. The flower's petals look almost translucide.

Q: I would like a bit more info on the wick technique. Do the containers they are planted in have a hole in the bottom? I thought violets didn't like wet roots? How do you make this growing system. I think I would like to try it. I have 5 sick violets: I put them on the patio table under the canopy but they didn't do well. Not sure if the chippies got into them or they just didn't like it there. Maybe they would like this system better (before I transplant them again)

Someone else will comment on the wicking, but I can say that its not a good idea to set your plants outside. Typically, it's too warm at this time of year. Also, there are many AV pests to be picked up outside.

I love minis, and I adore the way you use the jelly jars as reservoirs. So cute!
