For some reason, this year, I am loving the chartreuse ones. That lullaby is luscious! Does it stay that color?

It will loose it glorious shine but will remain bright yellow. It is in decent sun though.

I have grown common hostas like lancifolias in these tubs for years with no protection. Last year I added more pine bark to mix and replaced common hostas with minies. Placed bird netting in the fall so furry rats do not dig it up and large loose cover tarp somewhere in Dec thru April.

My regular small burb sized garden sits on the lowest point of the block and has always had some drainage problems for which we had pond with dry streams created. After our north neighbor built elevated garage on concrete slab and village regraded back alley road we have a lake every time after good rain. So these tubs are sitting on concrete blocks elevated over deeper dug trenches. Kinda making lemonade when life presents you with lemons LOL

Still working on aesthetics of covering sides and such but very glad it worked so far.

you have beautiful hostas :-) I'm a big fan of yellow..yellow really pops in a sea of green like my yard..I haven't done it but I want to do a mini collection in a pot..

Love them all , especially the beautiful Liberty. I have no more room for a large hosta.
