Need help with entryway!

Need help with hallway from front door to kitchen! Should I put some kind of table? Near front door or in hallway?? Any ideas would be helpful. Below are pics of Hall & kitchen it’s off of. Don’t mind the rugs & table here now. Not staying

beautiful job you've done. if you did a table against the longer wall, i'm afraid it would come out to far because of the heater.

I like the small table near the door,,,do you have any art or a mirror you could hang above it? those switches are in a horrible place!

I'm picturing a beautiful cowhide patchwork rug for that entry.

maybe a small bench along that wall area?

Thank you Beth! I love the ideas. But art or mirror above small table is hard because of switches . Maybe bench in hallway. Not that wide. Have to see cause of baseboard, if comes out too far.

We agree with Beth, we were thinking of a table on the long wall as well but the heater is in a bad place. However you could possible get a very thin one and make it work well. With the switches where they are on the smaller wall it might be very hard to hang anything other than to the side. What you might be able to do is place a bench on one of the walls to make some sort of seating though as well.
