Flooring help please!!

Ok terrible lighting in the picture but need some suggestions!

We need to replace the carpet in the two bedrooms and the old 90s tile in the bathroom. The hardwood throughout the rest of our house isn't my favorite but it looks good so it'll do.

I would rather not replace the carpet in the bedrooms with more carpet. We have a huge master bathroom so what if we did a wood look tile throughout master bedroom and bath then also in the spare bed and hall bath?

If we did a lighter wood look tile would they clash too bad with our current hardwood???

Where do you live? Unless you are in Florida or south California, I wouldn't like tile in the bedroom, too cold. Even then I personally wouldn't like it, but I might be a minority in this regard...

I really was only thinking tile in the bedroom so it would be uniform throughout the master bed/bath with a large area rug. I dont know, my brain is mush thinking about it lol.

Arkansas in winter can get cold (depending on where you are...how close you are to the mountains). I would NOT suggest tile in this situation. Not unless you want to add $15K in in-floor radiant heat under those tiles. And if you do tiles, please do NOT use "wood look".

You have wood throughout (other than these few areas). That means that putting in anything that is "wood look" (without being wood) is considered a design no-no. A tile in a slate or travertine would be a better design choice. But again, your location could indicate that tile may not be a very good option.

Look at your winters and then ask yourself how happy you would be to step onto a freezing cold tile floor. That is your answer.

No wood look tile next to real wood. Why not just continue the hardwood?

Have you considered cork for the bedrooms? Lots of options available so you should be able to find something that coordinates with the existing wood.

Do you really want such a hard, cold surface in a bedroom? You'll need large area rugs to protect those feet, knees and back. We're not getting any younger!
