Console table - color dilema

Please help me to make a decision on how to paint this console table. I've got it from letgo, I love the shape an the hight, and it fits perfectly in our small entryway. Just can't decide what color should I paint: antique white, dark teal or just the way it is. Thank you all in advance.

I think teal would be too much and white would match your walls too much. I’d probably leave it just as it is! It is the perfect size.

if you hate the dark stain color, get a paint like chalk paint, or you'll have to prep this one for regular paint.

I think an antique white, a duck egg blue, Provence blue, or any of those blue greens will be fine.

I will mention that your art is way too high (should be about 56" from the floor to the middle of the picture, or about 6-10" above the table) and it's a little small for that spot.

something in this size would work (more vertical. and 2/3 the width of the table)

look at these consoles for references and ideas

the art or mirror is no more than 12" above the table. and notice other items as decor accents.

Hi Beth! thank you very much for your sugestions. Yes, you are right, the art is way too high. Just got them all last week and I just hang where was the previous pin. I will take in consideration everything you've mentioned ans thank you very much for all the pictures attached to your comment.

I would not keep it the cherry because it does not at all go, definitely listen to Beth. I don't know if that ottoman and shelf squeezed behind the sofa is a good idea. I would suggest (since you provided pics of the whole entry space) placing a lamp in that corner where the shelf is which lights over the sofa and moving the entry console table to behind the sofa so it doesn't make your walkway smaller than it is now, and not having the ottoman there, then hanging one long but slim framed piece of art (nothing bulking sticking off the wall too much).

I agree with Mon that the tall vertical cabinet/shelf behind the sofa needs to go. It makes your space look small and cluttered. I think you could place your console table on that pony wall in the foyer side if the depth works there. From your pics it looks like it would fit, but I don't know any of the dimensions. The current location of the console is too tight and too close to the end of the entry IMO.

I also would change out the mirrored bi-pass doors for wood, it would warm up your space.

If you need the functionality of the vertical cabinet, then consider a long console against the sofa with baskets or drawers.

I think Danita is suggesting a console similar to this. We store hats, umbrellas, mittens etc. Your tower might fit inside your closet. Another idea would be to lay it down in front of your sofa and use it as a low bench? Not sure if this would look odd until you try it.

Hello! I myself have long suffered over the problem. How to make the furniture easier and more comfortable in the hallway. You have a classic interior. Try to use wrought-iron furniture. Console table. It is attached to the wall and the children will not overturn it: -).

You should have painted the table. He could have served in another part of the house. The natural color of the tree is always a win. That's just my opinion. Excuse me.

    The table looks really pretty!

I liked the table before, and I LOVE it now! Nice choice. I like the way the gold handle looks like a piece of jewelry. And it's nice to have a landing pad for keys, etc.

Thank you Evghenii for your comment anyway. I'm satisfied with the final result.

looks great! you can keep your art,,,just lower it and the board above it, by 6-8 inches. it will be fine above the table until you find something else.
