Can't see the backsplash in the photo.

How about staining the lower cabinets espresso & upper cabinets replace doors with frosted glass? Remove the curved wood above the window.

Picture on the left is a close up of the backsplash and countertop and the other half of the kitchen which we are replacing appliances with ss. Also getting a different light fixture. Not crazy about the green paint and definitely agree on removing the scalloped piece of wood above the sink - more suggestions welcome :)

Try grey bottom white top. Can't see backsplash very well. I would get rid of the wood between the upper cabinets above the sink. It dates the kitchen. Window would look nice with white uppers.

White cabinets and change the green paint to grey.

Seems a pity to paint such beautiful timber. We recently upgraded a kitchen - We retained the timber doors and refinished with a clear varnish. New white benchtops and white splashback (Glass) + Paint green wall white.
