Did you change your table lamp. I would pick up the color of one your pillows for the drapes, add the bowl to your coffee table with the spheres, add some books or boxes with sculptures on top of them.

This was the lamp with the old table I had. Should I consider changing the glass lamps? Are they too big for the end table?

A tall house plant would look great in that corner.

No..leave the glass lamps. I just thought the glass lamp wasn’t in the other pic it was changed.

Can we see all four walls of the room and also what room is connected to this one?

The corner might be better with floor lamp. The glass lamp isn’t quite right for the table. Some height is needed in that corner.

Why can’t she have any transparency in the room.....would you prefer something in a more metallic finish

A round table creates some challenges. If you put lamp on it, you take up a lot of space. A transparent glass in front of glass windows disappears. So a floor lamp toward the corner with a nice decorative piece on the table would work. Something that contrasts with the table.

I guess Corner floor lamp will be hard to access.
Is round table not fit for this space ?change to square? Even they are 24” usually.

Most floor lamps come equipped with floor foot buttons for easy on and off. If the lamp doesn’t have that there are extension cords that have this feature.

I'd add curtain panels to soften all those hard edges. The you wouldn't need anything else in the corner.

There is another big round pedestal table. It’s 34” width and 28 ht vs the one that I have is 28”W 26”H. The arm ht of the sofa is 24”. Do you thing I should change for the larger one?
Also if you can throw in some ideas for the rug and the curtains. Thanks!!

How about a square table with a green plant on it? Decorating with plants is so out, it’s IN! Also, what about a floor lamp with at least two lights - one for each couch? Good Luck!

There is no way to reach out to the lamp if I place it there. Both the couches are against the wall.

M CH, I would look for a glass metallic lamp that can tie in with your bowl on the coffee table. Have you ever thought about changing your layout

I think some hanging plants would look great it looks like a great spot where they would flourish.

Any end table should be at the height of the arms so reaching to them is easy. What direction are windows facing. That will effect window treatments. Do you need privacy? Sun/light control?

No privacy issues.. have roller shades

As to window treatments, it will be hard to do anything like drapery due to furniture placement. You don’t have wall space. The only thing i would consider is fabric roman shades. It would be quite expensive due to size and number of windows. What budget were you thinking for window treatments?

Something off the shelves standard length 108” 4 panels.

Rods style is important. Since you don’t have much room i would avoid grommet style drapery. The take up around 6” off wall so wouldn’t work well. So, a drape with back tape that allows hanging from rods with rings would be best. Are you thinking just panels on ends of window walls? Try looking at J C Penney and halfpricedrapes. Getting 108” length in look you like will be biggest issue.

It seems like you’re concerned with the accessibility to any lamp in that corner...having an electrician come in and wire a switch on the wall to the lamp’s outlet would solve the problem. And even though it’s a little formal, it might be nice to have a lamp on a table that fits the space (rectangular? Square? I can’t remember your dimensions), with a lamp and then lots of framed family photos. I love that look; it feels very homey.

If you did curtain panels (which I would definitely do), you would need to pull the furniture away from the walls a bit. I think the room is large enough to accommodate that.

It's a lovely room. I like the idea of a square table that fills that corner and provides necessary access for both sofas. I prefer the taller more solid table lamp to the glass lamp as I feel the glass one disappears. I find that corner just seems a bit stark and drapes (just end panels as you have your nice roller blinds for light control) would warm up and ground that corner. Diana, above, makes a good point about pulling the furniture out from the walls a bit. That will give a bit of breathing room to the corner. You can decide how many decorative things you need but I think that needs to be a functional table for those 2 sofas so I'd be inclined not to have too much. Enjoy your beautiful room!

I had the same problem but I put a double light floor lamp in the corner one lamp is a torchiere and the other is a reading lamp , is moveable for reading purposes. We bought an adapter with a remote control so it is easy to turn on and off. I do have a round table but I covered it with a round floor length tablecloth. It blends with the walls better. Also I have 5 windows and used blinds to cover windows in the evening. They are crisp and clean looking. No curtains to take up space.

M Ch, I would get the pedestal table that is the same height as the arm or lower and maybe a lamp with a square base or body such as these

I definitely agree that the glass lamps don't lend any visual weight to the corner and they disappear with the windows.

I think your rug is fine and although I like your roller shades, I think that adding something with more texture such as roman shades or woven wood blinds would bring more life to the whole space. Good luck with your project!

A rectangular or square table will fill the space more fully and a lamp with a solid base rather than a clear glass space will also add some weight to the corner. Drapes may be a nice addition, too.

Here are some ideas. Ignore shades just look at drapery approaches.

I have decided to return the round end table and go with a square table. One option is to have exactly the same one that I have on the other side 24” ht 24” or there is another one in size 27” ht 27” and 30” square ht 27” So which one to pick? I am attaching the pics.

Keep table height near height of arms of sofa. Different tables are more interesting than matchy matchy.

@Flo I like the second drape pic as it has some pattern texture to it. Should I go for neutral or colored option?

Neutrals are safe but patterns are more interesting. Your room is predominantly plain fabrics so a pattern if you can find in your budget would be really nice.

Here are some nice panels. They have taupe with blue. Could work well. A fairly subtle paisley pattern.

Tried to put together a mock up for you but don’t have good photos. So this is rough but gives you some idea of how panels would look.

27” would be too high for end table.

@Flo If 27” is too high then will have go with the same one that I have on the other side. Posting store pic of 27” with the same sofa that I have.

I would think a coffee table and a square end table that are cohesive in design or even matching would be very nice. The Asian style coffee table seems a bit low and does not go well with the room.

How about something with a bit more character. Like this. 26x26x24” high.
