Could you post a link to an image of the kind you mean? I used to have one of those, but it was in the UK and I believe it was a different set-up to the one you mean. If you're talking about the type with the ovens directly above each other, I was considering buying one of those but the top ovens are very small--big enough that you wouldn't be limited to only cookies and pizza (they're tall enough that I would think I could roast a small chicken in it) but not big enough for a turkey or anything.

I haven't personally used one, though, I'm just going by my thoughts after looking at several at Best Buy etc. Given that I've seen some not-great reviews on those, I've decided to go with a regular single oven and a microwave/convection oven for my countertop as a secondary oven. I used to have that set-up as well, and it worked very well for me.

I’ve had an LG freestanding double oven for about 5 years now. The top oven can fit 2 shelves, suitable for 2 layers of cake pans, or a single dutch oven or taller casserole dish. With just my wife and I, we use our top oven 80% of the time, and really only use the bottom for its convection, or for taller items.

Thank you, all, very much, for your input. I'm considering this GE. The top oven is less tall than the LG but the bottom rack is lower and I do want white. We are limited to 30"

We're a household of 2 and I can't see heating up a full oven to make pizza or a pan of lasagna. I'll probably take the lasagna pan to the store : )
