IKEA Beds and Frames

I read reviews on these bed frames and am hesitant to purchase one. I have two guest rooms that will be used MAYBE 20 nights a year - I'd like something that looks good but don't want so spend a fortune on bed frames. Sure, I can use metal frames with dust ruffles, but I'd like an upgrade. Does anyone have experience building and sleeping on any of the Ikea beds that they can report upon? Thank you.

We got a platform bed (I think it's Malm) and a top mattress from ikea two year ago and use every night. Excellent quality, great mattress.

We purchased the Hemnes in black ~ 6-7 years ago.

Love the storage drawers and the fact that it can expand to a double. (We only ever use it as a single, though, and use a TempurPedic mattress.) No problems whatsoever -- it's used daily.
