They look to me like a type of: sunflower, thistle, nettle, etc., seedling, cultivated or wild, even possibly zinnia or dahlia seedlings. They may be some kind of squash family seedling: cucumber, zucchini, or melon.

How they got into your fig pot could be any possibility, like: wind blown in, present in the potting mix before the fig was planted in the pot, accidentally or purposely dropped/ planted into the pot by an animal, especially squirrels, who knows?

In my estimation, they are harmless, just pull them out as you find them if any more appear.

If you are adventursome/curious, carefully pot a few up, and see what they turn out to be. If they turn out to be weeds, pitch them.

Matt Z is right, looks like they are watermelon seeds/seedlings.

The black bits are the shells of the seeds. When the seeds germinated the shells split open, and the seedlings emerge, leaving the empty black shells lying about.

There's nothing harmful to you or your figs, unless you let them grow alongside of the fig tree taking up the fig tree's water and nutrients for their needs. Just pull them out.

W.Melon seeds or musk melon/cantaloupe seeds from bird ,squirrel etc. The seed in your case is the seed that splits opens into small leaf as shown.

Last several season had similar in fig container but were acorns from our red oak and grew some when pulled the seed was there below the leaves and was buried by squirrel late last fall , squirrel also make holes in grass near our large regular trees trunk in yard and have found his stash in those holes.
