Have both of them, love both of them. The King and The Queen also make a lovely pair. I'd post a picture but it's raining.

I've been looking for The Queen, but she's been a bit reclusive around these parts.

It's easily available in Europe. I bought mine at Hostaworld two years ago, it's a vigorous grower. The King I added last year.

Wow, you're The King (I just like saying that) has much yellower margins than mine. I noticed a single leaf like that later in the season last year. I'm thinking yours is growing in more sun as mine gets very little direct sunlight. I think I need another one to plant in more sun! I think I just added a Hosta I already have to my wish list.

Steve, I wasn't aware that a more sunny spot would make such a difference for The King. In fact, I haven't found the ultimate space for him because I'm planning to arrange The Queen and The King as a pair in matching pots, but since The King is a year younger and still so small - more like a Prince Consort than a King - I haven't done that yet. So I'm keeping him on the patio for the time being.

My Kind is still young but it seems is going to be magnificent already, very stately presence. Love the pics!

Hopefully there will be more The Queen avail in US.
