Need help with lighting a kitchen remodel. The space is open completely to the living room which is opposite side of the island. I have a Zephyr Lux 43” flush mount hood going in over the cooktop which has three LED strips. There is one recessed can above the sink.

I am thinking with sticking to all recessed lighting along with under cabinet lighting on the sink wall. All recessed would leave the view wide open to/from the living room. I have also thought about doing pendants over the island seating area but struggle with placement given the not symmetrical island. Ceiling height is 9ft.
