Dying zucchini plants and crazy shaped zucchini

Hi. My zucchini plants are dying, but first they are putting out zucchini are skinny on one end and fat on the other ...some with lumps and bumps along the way. What's up?

    Mine started doing that when they had vine borers. Look for sawdust-looking deposits on the stem near the ground. You can kill the borers by slicing the stems and digging the borers out, but you may kill the plants in the process.
