master bathroom

I am posting pictures of my master bathroom to get Ideas on how I could redo. When you walk in you are facing the shower doors. You turn left and there is the toilet and vanity. I appreciate any comments.

the black vanity togehther with the all yellow wall is a bit much contrast i think. maybe color it beige or sth. the shower looks already perfect.

an easy update is always the cover of the toilet seat. giv it a beige marbel one and it adds chic very easily! i like your carpet but many would feel like a white one looks cleaner and fits better in a bathroom...

I really like your vanity, mirror and fixtures. The only thing I don't like is the color of the walls. Pick a neutral color from your flooring the tie everything together more and bring in real color in the accessories. Anything will go with neutral walls and the whole look can change without a lot of work if you get tired of it. The yellow if you like it can be brought in with towels and art. I like to have different coordinating color towels for each person using the bath. 1 in the wash, 1 in use and 1 ready to use works for me the best. Just as a comment ...the house we just bought has that same shower and I hate it. The step to get out was almost a killer the first time I used it and I find the bench inside is just in the way. It would be preferred to have the vanity just inside the door with the shower to the right but plumbing is one of those more expensive things to change so we live with it.

If it was my washroom i'd definitely be picking out a different paint color, this one seems a little too busy and none of your really nice features like the vanity and fixtures have a chance to stand out

I would also, if it was in my budget, consider updating the shower. I'd probably replace the frosted door with a nice big single glass door and retile the area probably all the way up to the ceiling

I'd like a fresher color paint as well. I might change the fixtures over the vanity, but they aren't too bad.

I love the bronze fixtures and vanity. I think the only thing needed is a new wall color. It will bring the fixtures together while also giving the master bathroom a make over.

Thanks to everyone for your comments. The yellow is what a decorator picked out years ago but it’s time to update. Does anyone have a specific color you can suggest?

My shower needs updating for sure. I like your idea! Thanks

One more thing the yellow in my picture is a lot brighter than it really is. The actual color is Egyptian gold.

Welcome Susie E, you have a great space already and it won’t take much to make it look updated with a few changes

As for color, if it was my space I might consider a warm very light taupe

Perhaps something along the lines of a Sherwin Williams Accessible Beige SW 7036. Nice, calm beige with a hint on the brown end. Should look good with that floor time and calm the room.
