Even so-called self fertile apples (not sure I am convinced there are such things) will produce better with a pollinator :-) And anon-triploid apple with a midseason bloom should work as a pollination partner as there will always be overlap - a midseason should work for both an early and a late season bloomer (Sayaka is a very new intro so not sure how it is ranked re: bloom time).
