I had a burdock plant make its way into the garden one year and loved the giant leaves so I let it grow. The leaves will get enormous and leaf out much more then your plant there. The plant gets several feet wide. When placed in perennial bed ... it looks really cool and I would get people asking what it was and where to buy one. Ha.

But... once it they start trying to bloom and you cut the flower stalks off... it just puts all it's energy to trying to flower and stops leaf growth... starts looking less attractive late in the season.

I have actually left in there because it is starting to look pretty cool. I will monitor it and see how I feel about it.
