Adding security

I like to add security metal on the window. How can you do this while leaving the shutters and inner wi downs functional?

For the shutters, the simplest thing to do would be to have the shutters overlap the metal security screen and use hinges that give the offset needed. The offset will be determined by the metal security screen as well as where it will be mounted to the house. Once you know that we can guide you on the needed offset.

With regards to the windows being able to operate you would need to make sure that the screen was mounted so that it allowed the window to open and close. If your window is like the picture above the screen would most likely be mounted where the shutter is and then the shutter would be backed of to cover the screen when closed.

If you could send us some photos of your windows, both up close with details as well as overview pictures, that would be a great help.

    I hope this helps!
