That is gorgeous. This happened to me last year with my Poseidon. I was drawn to the lovely cool purple in the nursery & couldn't believe how beautifully & profusely the plant bloomed. Sorry, no pics.

Natalie, my Poseidon died over the winter & I was really sad about it. I’m new to roses & tried the winterize the poor thing in a pot. I’ve started over this year with very hardy types and will save buying new Poseidons for when I’m in my own home & can winterize the plants properly. I look at hybrid teas longingly in the nursery but walk out with something that has a better chance of surviving my current harsh gardening conditions. I bought a Hansa rose today that is hardy to Zone 2. I long for when I can have Poseidons again. The colour, the fragrance, how stunning the blooms are in a vase...you know the deal ❤️

Oh I’m so sorry you lost a beloved rose. It always hurts! Isnt It a pain when the roses we love struggle with our zone? I’m growing a Gloire de Dijon right now in a pot and am nervous about the winter already... I plan to put her in the garage near a window and wrap her up if it gets too cold.

Poseidon is such a beauty. I hope you can grow her again!
