Sanded or unsanded grout for a marble floor.

This floor by Ciot is 11" x 11" in squares of a flower and square pattern. If you look one way you see verticle squares, squint the other way and you see the flower pattern. Problem is it's different kinds of marble and VERY absorbent. Having sealed it, the joint are much wider then 1/8 in. in plaxces recommended for unsanded grout but sanded grout will scratch the marble.

Look at epoxy grouts. They can fill a grout joint up to 1/2" and should not scratch marble. Confirm with your tiler or the company tech department.

Marble tile should be spaced 1/8" Nd used non-sanded. Epoxy is a better choice but harder to work with. Make sure your installer has experience with epoxy grout or it will be a huge mess and might ruin tile. If there is film left on the tile from the epoxy grout a special cleaner and buffing wheel will make tile shine.
