Help identifying these plants?

There’s this leggy tree thing which gets small clumps of red berries and 2 types of what my mother is calling Ivy. She has had this for 23 years, always potted together, just repotting them as they grow too large. She has never pruned or fertilized it. Since she moved into her new house the lighting doesn’t seem to be ideal and the plants are suffering. It’s ahout 1/4 of what it was a year ago. She has tasked me with identifying them so she can better care for them.

The upright plant is Coralberry, Ardisia crenata. The others are heartleaf philodendron and one of the numerous Syngoniums.

They are all very common dish garden plants.

Sooooo is it a problem that she’s growing them in this enormous pot? Lol I can honestly say this is the first time I’ve ever heard about a “dish garden”. Just googled it and opened up a whole new world. Thanks!

Being still alive after 23 years is a good run. I wouldn't change a whole lot about the care. Be careful about plants getting sunburned outside if they are not used to it.

"Dish gardens" don't stay dish garden size forever :-) All plants grow and the smaller starts typically offered in a mixed plant dish garden will generally outgrow those accommodations rather rapidly. To be honest, I am impressed that these have lasted so long with nothing more than up-potting and watering. Anything gown in a container will need and greatly benefit from routine fertilization so I would certainly incorporate that into the care program.
