How is the sound rating between the shaker panel 8401?

I love the look of the 8401 or 8402 however my husband is afraid that the sound will travel through the thinner area of the door vs a more of a raised panelled door. Would you say the sound protection is similar in both doors or less in a shaker door vs raised panel door?

Hi Coty, our doors have a high STC (Sound Transmission Class) for our product. Because we use full wood components in our doors, it helps muffle the sound and would expect a 34-35 for our doors. That means loud speech is muffled when the door is closed. Let us know if you have any other questions.
