How far away from the island is the dining room table? Is there a wall between them? I'm thinking that there is not or you would not be concerned them coordinating closely. What are the dimensions of the dining room table that seats 12? Any chance of hanging 2 fixtures over it instead of one?

There is no wall between kitchen island and DR table. All part of an open great room with vaulted ceiling. DR table is maximum 124 inches with leaves (Lexington Montauk Oyster Bay). Yes, you could hang two fixtures over table. You could do Charleston pendants over both table and kitchen island, but I thought that would be too matchy.

Actually, I am using dark brown Restoration Hardware Madeline chairs, with cream colored cushions, around the Oyster Bay Montauk DR table. This Feiss Chandelier in the white with the brown trim, would tie in beautifully with table and chairs. This is a concept I had not thought about. Thank you so much. And you think this would still be OK with the Charleston pendants in brushed nickel and clear glass over the kitchen island?

Since the table is 88" without leaves, you'll only need one of the Feiss chandeliers as two 42.5" chandeliers would not fit well.

I would do something like this with beads. It gives a nod to the nautical without being kitschy or gimmicky. And it won't compete with your metal pendant lights. Don't just hang a metal chandelier next to metal pendant lights. It's too much metal and it's boring. Just because it's a beach cottage and you don't want to go bling-ey glam like you would in a regular home with a traditional crystal chandelier, you still want to use the opportunity for visual interest.
