I'm sorry, but that mirror is much too heavy-looking in that space with the delicate chairs. Frankly, those chairs look terribly uncomfortable and also rather flimsy and the first thing I would do is to find some that have upholstered seats and a more comfortable back. The ceiling light is not attractive and also casts a very harsh light. Some sort of pretty chandelier with a more yellow light and that you could possibly put on a dimmer switch would really help. I'd also buy a pretty rug to give this area a softer look. Instead of the mirror find some paintings to hang on the walls. I'm not so sure about the clock and cabinet, and more pictures of this room and surrounding areas would be really helpful.

Yes, I agree the chair seems flimsy. But they are not, it is a wrougt iron and marble top table. It was gifted to us by my father in law. So I’m trying to make it work. I can’t touch the lighting or paint as we are in a rental. I can reconsider the mirror. Will add more pictures once I can, currently the surrounding area are boxes as we just moved. But to the right is our kitchen, and in front is our living room.

Your dining set feels very "French bistro" to me. I found these seat cushion for the chair that would not only make them more comfortable, but would give you an excellent colour scheme to work from.
