I have most of my experience with the woody type salvias. Mine did very well for several years but are not getting very woody and not blooming much. I am thinking of taking them out and replacing with herbaceous salvias. I have recently planted one herbaceous salvia but don't have any long term experience with them. What can I expect from the herbaceous salvias in the future? Would it be a good plan to replace my woodies with the herbaceous?
