Pay the Pro the 7-9K to professionally recoat them. Or plan to replace.

In all honesty I really find no reason to change those beautiful cabinets to something that you might like or not. The "after market paint" will never compare to the finish direct from the factory. All you really need is to get some nice handles, change the paint, backsplash, and later the counters and you are set.

I also agree with Filipe. Lighten up your wall color first and add modern pulls. Also make sure you have cooler color daylight light bulbs, not warm = yellow. This will make more of a change than you think. Also under cabinet lighting in the same cooler color. The cabinets are nice and will never look right if you paint yourself.

I'm not sure white will work with your countertops - they read "cream" to me.

I love them dark!

If you need a change and have the funds, change the counter top to white.

It looks like you would have to go cream.

Also, most paint manufacturer's website have "Room Visualizers" that let you upload a photo of your space and you can "paint" it. With that being said, I really like your kitchen! The only thing I would add is some pulls to the cabinets.

Sorry I don't have the expertise using Apps but you can do a sketch in your houzz ideabooks. You can post a photo of your kitchen in your ideabook, find some kitchen cabinets with paint colors that you like, post those in your ideabooks and insert them over your cabinets. You can crop the photos in the sketch to fit.

Just looking at your photo, you can get somewhat an idea of what white will look like if you look at your white door besides what Grover showed. Your best bet will be to go with a creamy or off-white as your countertop and back splash are in the warm tones. Though you may find yourself having to paint the walls for contrast otherwise you will have a very beige kitchen especially since the flooring is beige, too. The other option is looking into "staining" them. One of my houses I had this done. The "professionals' actually took my pinkish stained wood cabinets, prepped the cabinets with a light sanding to remove the lacquer finish and then put a white primer on them and then used a stain. I do not know if there was anything else mixed with the stain as they wouldn't share what they were using with me. I ended up with honey wood colored cabinets. If this would be a consideration, just make sure you do a lot of research before making a final decision.

Be prepared that once you start this, it may lead to more changes to make you happy. Even if you are thinking otherwise right now.

And be prepared that once you paint/stain those cabinets, the finish is not going to wear like the finish that is done in the factory. No matter who paints them or how much you pay.
