No, not too many colors. I love your space, love your artwork. Love the color of the ottoman but don't love the shape of the wingback chairs for your space. Overall it's a great room.

Looks fine, but you need an area rug to pull the conversation area together. That said, I think the ottomans-as-coffee-tables in this setting might be too dense, visually. I'd think about a glass table top with wooden legs just to lighten things up a little.

Are there other walls to this room? My impression is that it feels heavy. Removal of the art should help. The round mirror and wing backs don't suit the contemporary style of the sofa or the two chairs in the foreground. Could they be used in the master? The chaise portion of the sofa is ottoman-like. I can't imagine adding a third similar piece here. Break up the rectangles with a round coffee table. I think you could lighten the overall feeling with new art and a new rug. The rattan pieces feel a bit outdoorsy to me. I think you need to lean into the modern vibe, and upgrade the lighting too.

You have a lot of different styles going on IMO-formal, Scandinavian and modern. Also, why are there 3 ottomans?

Thanks for the comments. Here’s the third ottoman in the room. We call it Bella’s dining room. She refuses to eat with her sister, Zoe. regarding the wingbacks, we love them and use to watch TV or just chat. I think they could be less formal with new upholstery. My style leans toward eclectic. Thx

I think it’s sweet you accommodate your fur babies. Overall, the only thing that seems too much is the ottoman near the sofa. That table would be better or a metal framed glass one.

Your 3 pictures need to be raised so that the bottoms of the frames are about 3 inches above the back of the sofa.

Also, center the art with the sofa--not the wall.

The wingbacks make the room too crowded. Someone would have a hard time sitting in the one closest to the wall in the corner. Recovering them will not help. They need to find another place in the room to look right.

You're right about table, round is the way to go.

I like the round or oval shape to soften all the hard angles.

Remove the table at the left side of the sofa.

Add a floor lamp.

Center the wing backs under the mirror. They're lopsided with the wall they're on.

I find the black chairs with the fur out of place, otherwise your room looks interesting. If you wish to keep the art, place it above the middle of the sofa and a touch higher, so we can see the full frames.

Too much furniture and in different styles. Remove the wingbacks. Take away an ottoman (the teal one is a bit overpowering) or just move elsewhere. Move little poochies bed out of view. And buy the largest rug you can find to ground the space, and make it feel more like a room than a collection of furniture. It will also help tie the colour choices together. As already suggested the artwork should be centred behind the sofa. Good luck!

If that's a formal dining room in the background, maybe the wings would work at the head and foot of the table, with the round mirror tucked in somewhere else too.

Sorry but the wings don't fit there at all. If you truly want the room to look good then you must move them somewhere else.

Just an idea... how about hinging the three pieces of art together to make a screen you can use somewhere?

Pick a style and a color palette. Do you like modern or traditional style? Does your multitude of colors work well together? You have too many seating pieces in the room. The wing chairs don't belong here. Remove the extra ottoman in front of the sectional. Reduce and edit. Put some thought into art placement.

And add a large area rug which picks up the colors in your new color palette.

I got rid of the chairs and art. Broke a leg on one of the wingbacks in the process. Rearranged and used what I had from other rooms. Will continue to edit as time and budget allow. Comments?

The shelf unit loaded with dozens of tiny things does not work with the big sleek sofa.

I agree the art would look spectacular on that wall. The sofa is a focal point and needs something strong to accent it.
