NC EXTERIOR HELP

Looking for suggestions on improving the curb appeal of this 1979’s North Carolina home. The bottom is orange tone brick popular in the 70’s and the top level is board and battan natural white oak in desperate need of sealing. The roof is a red metal roof. The upper floor wood decking and railing is stained red. I’m thinking of staining the brick a medium grey or charcoal grey and a semi-transparent stain on the wood upper exterior a lighter grey than the brick on the bottom floor. Your thoughts on exterior color and staining the brick and wood?
