How big is "small"? :-P What is the length and width? Depending on how much space you have, it might be possible to get one of those outdoor "deck boxes" or storage units to put some of our smaller items into - i.e., something like this - https://www.walmart.com/ip/Suncast-22-Gallon-Light-Taupe-Resin-Small-Storage-Deck-Box-SS900/10848574 which is about 2ft x 2ft x 2ft (give or take). If you have a round laundry basket, that might be able to fit inside and any small things can go inside of that. Alternately, you could just get some plain storage totes (I have tons myself) to put the small stuff in and many are stackable.
