The top pond is about 6 feet in diameter and the lower one is 20 ft x 30 ft. It holds approximately 8000 gallons of water. It's 3 ft deep in the center of the lower pond so we do leave our fish in the pond over the winter and they do just fine even though winter temps sometimes fall to 20 degrees below zero. It cost approx $15,000 to have it installed. That price was for the pond and rock work only, no plants. I had most of the perennials although I've added a few more every year. We live in South Dakota so I don't know how the price would compare to other areas of the country.

That's so sweet of you to share all that. I am in Vancouver, Canada. I will find out how much it will cost here. Guessing more :)) Everything is expensive here including labour.
