I think matelasse is a great idea. I would go golden yellow-mustard.

I like matelasse. Not sure yellow would go with that rug though.

But yellow is really a love it or hate it colour I think. It seems like very few people are just "yeah, whatever" about yellow.

Hah, lindsay—my wife loves it in clothes (and I like it on her), I had a yellow kitchen in a previous apartment that I liked very much, but it’s not a color I would consciously invite into my life, lol.

You mean what side it faces onto? I’m honestly not sure. It gets a lot of light, three windows on two different sides of the room...hang on, I’ll take a picture...

Claire... Considering this blue matelasse cover as it would give us more freedom to choose colorful cushions etc. Plus we’re in CA so thinner material is better. Any thoughts on fabric for shades to go with that? Blue and blue is too much... Unless we get green matelasse instead...

If you the blue malteleese you can do an ivory drapes on top of your hades and use complimentary accent colors pillows for your bed.

I know, we considered that, but when the curtains are open they will get in the way of my desk (on the left, by the window). Unless they just go on one side but I think that looks awkward. Trying to keep it simple and balanced .
